Umpire Information

Pine Hills Netball Club has a strong base of approximately 40 umpires of all ages and abilities. Our umpires start with junior games and are mentored by our senior umpires to gain experience. Umpires are required to complete training through online modules, courses at Downey Park and practical experience at Pine Hills Netball Club. All of our umpires work extremely hard and many go on to successfully attain their National C Badge. Our senior umpires are often selected to umpire DPNA finals, umpire at State Carnivals and to umpire at the State Netball Centre.

Anyone is eligible to start umpiring the year they turn 13, provided they have already had at least 2 years experience playing in a competitive competition.

Net Set Go non-competitive games are umpired by a parent of the team member. 11/12 year old players who are interested in umpiring are also eligible to umpire a Net Set Go non-competitive team for the whole of the season.

If you are interested in umpiring for Pine Hills, or if you have any other questions, please contact our Umpire Convenor, Teja Woon for more information.

·      50% of these points should be completed through on court umpiring

·      The successful completion of the Rule of Netball Theory Exam is a mandatory requirement for updating any badge level.
